Founder of the Midwest street collective, “DivSel” (meaning Diverse Selection), Dyzzi from DivSel (formerly Dyzzi, 90s Dyzzi, and Dyzzi P) is a 20 year old MC hailing from Chicago Heights, IL and is currently based in Milwaukee, WI. Dyzzi premieres his last single before his sophomore album “KidsBackThen” releases on July 12th. The self-titled single features female emcee ameriKKKen.
Talking about the new song, Dyzzi says, “Just us 2 kids rapping about back then. I always wanted my boy Dustfingaz to produce the title tracks for my albums (like what we did for “Same Clothes As Yesterday) and when I heard this beat all the way through, it felt like a vivid nostalgic trip down memory lane. I met ameriKKKen from the explorer page on Instagram and I was amazed by her freestyles. I simply messaged her and she liked my music after a recommendation. We agreed upon this beat together and it just… happened.”
