Adam Odgaard’s Guide to Indy Eats

It’s no secret that Adam Odgaard loves food whether it be a favorite dish or a new recipe. His curiosity of trying new things lead him to try Poke, a Hawaiian tuna salad, and introduce it to Indianapolis. Odgaard’s restaurant, Poke Guru, is definitely keeping him busy as it just opened a month ago in Indianapolis. Somehow he found time to chat with us about his favorite places to eat here in the city!

My wife & I live in Fountain Square so the majority of these are places we enjoy walking to.

Calvin Fletcher’s is my go for coffee due to the sense of community they’ve fostered there. Even if my attempt is to get in there to get work done, I can always count on having an enjoyable conversation with someone about what is going on in their life.

Fajitas and Cruz’s margaritas are what bring me to this place. Their fajitas aren’t excessively oily and the margaritas actually taste like tequila. If you are into expanding your palette regarding tequila, it’s a good place as they have a huge selection of them.

Where else in Indy can you enjoy meat & metal all under one roof when you have a ravishing appetite? I’ve yet to eat a burger in Indy that tops their quality and the quantity you get.

Now that they’ve come to their senses and allow dogs again, my wife and I have started going back here with our doberman Hugo. We get to drink beer and he gets all sorts of attention, a win win.
