In terms of optics and substance, the Mr.2kay Elevated concert that went down on the 17th of June 2018 at the Aztech Arcum, Stadium road in Port Harcourt will go down as one of the most successful music concerts this year. From whatever angle this event will be judged, I’m of opinion that it will be faultless. This event
organized by Grafton Records to celebrate 2kay in line with his album
titled Elevated was groundbreaking.

As I watched and took inventory of the show from the VIP area that was
divided into two sides with an overview of the event from above, the way
the audience responded to each performer that graced the stage was in a
rising crescendo. Curated by Olisa of Beat999FM and Alex of the just
concluded BBN, both as the event comperes, the show was well scripted. It
was like reading a book that entails great sounds from the past, present
and also showcased the future of the next entertainers in the Naija music
industry.

From the beautiful esthetics of the stage design to the great sound system
and the fantastic playlists from great DJs like Jimmy Jatt and DJ Big N
among others, the fully packed audience in the hall enjoyed every minute of
this show that ended early in the morning on the 18th of June. Among other
new generation entertainers and established names, A-list rated names like
Timaya, Harrysong, Duncan Mighty and the host himself Mr.2kay brought down the roof. There’s no doubt, Mr.2kay is emphatically elevated on this show – Words by Sesan Adeniji
