Mom Of Gucci Mane’s Son Says She’s Living On Welfare While Rapper Lives It Up

The mother of Gucci Mane‘s 11-year-old son says she’s living on welfare and living in Section 8 housing while the boy’s famous father lives lavishly. Sheena Evans is seeking up to $20,000 in child support payments from the rapper and author, which would be an $18,000 increase.

The Blast reports:

A hearing was held this week in the case brought by Gucci’s baby mama, Sheena Evans, who sued seeking an increase in the monthly support from the current $2,026 a month to $20k for their 11-year-old son, Keitheon.

In video shot by Dennis Byron at the hearing, her lawyer spoke to the judge and said her client lives in Section 8 housing, is on government assistance, receives food stamps and is on Medicaid … all while Gucci is making millions.

In her suit filed last year, Evans argued the rapper was making a substantial amount more since leaving prison in 2011.

Gucci’s baby mama took issue with him spending a considerable amount of money on fine jewelry and says when the rapper got married, he spent in excess of $1 million for his wedding.

Gucci Mane’s side says that the rapper’s finances have not increased despite Evans’ claims and wants the case tossed out.

Chicago Cops Raid R. Kelly’s Studio, Singer Denies Living In Space

City Inspectors Visit R. Kelly's Studio In Chicago

A Chicago studio that was featured prominently in the Lifetime docu-series, Surviving R. Kelly was the target of a raid by city police. While the move from cops didn’t yield a bust of sorts, it did get the beleaguered R&B singer slapped with a complaint on a building violation.

TMZ reports:

The Chicago studio, heavily featured in “Surviving R. Kelly,” was swarmed this week by Chicago cops and the Cook County Building and Zoning Department — and they ended up filing a complaint against Kelly.

The officials say there’s evidence he’s using the place as a residence, and had done renovations without getting permits.

Sources close to Kelly tell us that he’s denying ever living in the studio. Although he admits having a bed in there, he says it was only there for extra long recording sessions — 14 to 15 hours — when he was too exhausted to make it home, or if there was a bad winter storm.

We’re told he also points to the fact that he has a real residence at Chi-Town’s Trump Tower.

The outlet adds that Kelly insists he never did renovations inside the space and that it always featured a bedroom.

Big Boi Purchases The OG Dungeon Studio Where OutKast Began

Lovebox Music Festival 2018 - Day 2 - Performances

Source: WENN.com / WENN

Well, that took long enough.

The Dungeon Family might not mean much to the rap millennials of today, but it sure as hell holds weight with the Hip-Hop OGs in the know. So when Big Boi announced that he had become the proud new owner of the recording studio known as The Dungeon, it truly warmed our hearts. Responsible for giving us that sounds that made the ATL go ’round, the Lakewood Heights music lab is responsible for the sounds of OutKast, Organized Noize, and Goodie Mob.

We’re kind of surprised he didn’t make this purchase at the height of OutKast’s popularity in the mid-2000s, but we’re not judging at all. We’re just glad that a piece of music history ended up in the hands of one of its descendants. Having recorded their classic ’94 debut album Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik, OutKast also recorded ’96’s ATLiensa nd ’98’s Aquemini at the Atlanta landmark.

We need to secure more of our Hip-Hop landmarks like this. Just sayin.’

Royce Da 5’9” easily had one of 2018’s best Hip-Hop albums in Book of Ryan and though it’s been rather light in terms of videos dropped, it’s still something that the fans wanted and needed.

In his clip to “Cocaine,” Nickle Nine reflects on his childhood through black-and-white visuals which focuses on how that white powder not only affected people in the streets but his life at home as well. Pretty deep and inspirational stuff here.

From the OGs to the youngn’s, Jaden Smith continues to follow his rap dreams and in his “A Calabasas Freestyle” video hangs with his peoples at a shopping mall and in the parking lot. Isn’t this the same mall where they filmed Clueless??

Check out the rest of today’s drops including work from Smif N Wessun, Young M.A, and more.

You know once a soft drink company decides to put you, on you done made it. Snd now that Bill O’Reilly is officially sidelined due to his predatory ways there’s no one around to cockblock rap stars from securing that bag.

That being said the Migos are officially on as they have found themselves as the latest spokespersons for Mountain Dew and are even featured in the green soda’s latest commercial.

Starring alongside Philadelphia 76ers superstar Joel Embiid, Quavo, Offset and Takeoff seem to enjoy themselves as they premier their latest cut “Position To Win” while promoting what Skip Bayless refers to as “the nectar of the gods.” It’s a pretty entertaining video. Check it out below.

Nike is celebrating African American culture to start of 2019. The sportswear giant will be releasing a drop that will help consumers embrace their heritage.

As part of a yearly initiative Nike will be releasing a Black History Month themed collection. According to the formal press release the designs were inspired “by an assortment of national African patterns, brought together onto modernized prints in a theme of Afro-futurism in sport.”

The set will include some of Nike’s most classic and sought after basketball models including the Lebron 15’s, Kyrie 5’s and Air Jordan 1’s. Staying in line with the celebratory theme the sneakers feature Afrocentric detailing including a very generous use of kente cloth accents and branding of applicable words such as “Equality”.

Aside from the limited-edition shoes Nike also announced they are launching the Future Varsity program, which provides leadership training to 14 young African Americans who are creating positive change in their communities. The participants will be paired with mentors from within and outside of Nike to help advance their causes (their projects range from organizing charity basketball tournaments in Chicago to providing nutrition education to youth in New York City). Programming is set to kick off on Friday, January 18 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Soulja Boy & His Tired Gucci Headband Visit To ‘Everyday Struggle’ Was A Hilarious Mess

WE tv Hosts Exclusive Premiere For Hip Hop Thursdays

Source: Santiago Felipe / Getty

We have no clue what Soulja Boy and his Gucci headband is on a press run for, but these interviews are becoming instant classics. Thursday (January 17) Big Draco stopped by Complex’s debate show Everyday Struggle, and it was… a struggle a hilarious one at that.

Soulja while in NYC has been making his rounds on this press tour, and his interviews have been the talk of Twitter for the entire week. If you thought he was finished after his insanely entertaining Breakfast Club interview, you were sadly mistaken. King Soulja had some more antics up his sleeve for the Everyday Struggle trio.

The nearly 54-minute interview quickly spiraled out of control. From picking apart Soulja’s Breakfast Club interview, apologizing and in the same breath clowning DJ Akademiks, expressing sorrow for incarcerated troll rapper Tekashi69 then accusing him of stealing his trolling tactics and almost getting g-checked by Wayno it was an entertaining mess.

If no album or song comes from any of this consider all of this, an epic fail. If you need a good laugh and your fill of Soulja Boy antics to jumpstart your weekend look no further than Everyday Struggle episode below.
