Christian rapper 1K Phew grew up in the church in his hometown of East Atlanta. Inspired by his faith and the hip-hop culture, he took baby steps in balancing the vastly different worlds and found his voice to share a message of hope for youths just like him. He recently worked on a collaborative project with veteran Christian rapper Lecrea titled No Church in a While and now he is working on his forthcoming album, As I Am. The Decatur native delivers the visuals for his single “Safe”, a soulful reflective tune that explores the dynamics of finding one’s footing when surrounded by temptation and external pressures.
The visual directed by Caleb Seales and Jerrell Lamar is shot in black and white and blends performance shots of the rapper with a mix of sepia tone aesthetics with heavenly vibes as well.
